Reseña

This book, which commemorates the 40th anniversary of Desarrollo Económico de Ciudad Juárez A.C. (DECJ), invites us on a journey through time, exploring how the business community of our beloved city has forged a destiny of progress and resilience.
More than four centuries ago, this region became a natural passage for brave explorers and adventurers in search of a better life in the northern lands. Since then, it has been a focus of attraction for people in search of progress. Despite the difficulties imposed by the nature of the area, the people of the region, with ingenuity and will, have managed to transform the environment into a prosperous region.
Forty years ago, a group of business people decided to found an organization that would help them face the city’s challenges together. That is how Desarrollo Económico de Ciudad Juárez was born. Along its history, the organization has promoted the most sensitive issues for the citizens of Juarez, from the attraction of investments and the creation of infrastructure, to training and the development of human capital.
This publication narrates the rich history of our city and honors the achievements of the women and men who have participated in the organization since its foundation.
