Reseña

The Common Good: The Path to Sustainability and Strength in Education is a work by Dr. Leoncio Baltazar Baltazar-Jiménez, an academic and researcher with a strong interest in the study and writing of the common good. In this work, he addresses the importance of sustainability and the role it plays as a social challenge that we are all called upon to face, as well as the implications and challenges that require will, determination, and courage in order to achieve valuable results. In addition to this, he envisions and recognizes that education is a key component, with broad capabilities in the process of human transformation. This book provides a clear view of social issues, generational changes, and how they influence human behavior. Sustainability has a very clear challenge: it aspires, first and foremost, to ensure that future generations can live and have a lifestyle at least similar to the one we currently enjoy. Undoubtedly, this will involve extensive work on the social structure of companies and public and private organizations, which generate services and give life to the areas on which human beings depend as citizens.
In the same vein, the book revisits sustainability from an economic perspective, given that individual and organizational activities have major implications from this point of view.
Finally, the work recognizes the importance of environmental issues in the life of the entire world, as well as the challenges and actions that must be implemented. In this regard, it revisits the proposals established by the 2030 Agenda as a reference point.
In this scenario, the importance of the common good in groups and communities is highlighted as a key element in the pursuit of sustainability, and education is recognized as an inalienable force that enables the social development of human beings.
The book allows us to recognize the challenges facing modernity, the generational gaps, and their role in the different social changes that the global community is facing. The author shows us the possibilities for positive and hopeful change that the common good and education offer us, allowing us to see the role of individuality and the benefits that a well-functioning community can obtain from the foundations of the common good.
The role of society, the Common Good, and education are essential and represent the fundamental path to future sustainability. May this work be of academic value to its intended audience.
Meanwhile, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to collaborate on this presentation, which I hope will be useful to readers as an introduction to this work that showcases the author's vocation.
