Preface
Leer la Biblia no es únicamente un acto personal de fe, sino también
un acto de formación integral que toca la vida de individuos, familias y
sociedades enteras. La complejidad de sus 66 libros y más de mil
capítulos puede resultar desafiante, y por ello esta obra nació con una
intención clara: ayudar al lector a comprender la Biblia de manera
ordenada, profunda y accesible, ofreciendo cada día una clave
interpretativa que ilumina el camino por delante. Enero abre este
recorrido de 365 días por toda la Escritura, y lo hace en el lugar más
adecuado de todos: el principio mismo de todas las cosas.
Este capíutlo conduce al lector por el libro de Génesis, desde
la creación del mundo, la caída de la humanidad y las primeras
promesas de redención, hasta la vida de los patriarcas Abraham, Isaac
y Jacob, cerrando con José vendido por sus hermanos y llevado a
Egipto. En el camino, la lectura se detiene en el libro de Job, donde el
sufrimiento humano se enfrenta cara a cara con la fidelidad de Dios: la
integridad que resiste la prueba, el consuelo que no depende de las
circunstancias y la esperanza de la resurrección que ilumina incluso el
dolor más profundo. Génesis y Job, leídos uno junto al otro, muestran
que el principio de todas las cosas y el misterio del sufrimiento
encuentran su respuesta en una misma fuente.
Junto a esto, el mes recorre el Evangelio de Juan completo, desde el
Verbo que era desde el principio hasta la comisión final entregada a
los discípulos, y da los primeros diez pasos en el Evangelio de Mateo.
Cristo se revela como el Pan de Vida, la Luz que vence las tinieblas y
el Pastor que conoce y protege a los suyos, tendiendo un puente
directo entre la primerísima página de la Biblia y el rostro de Jesús.
Reading the Bible is not merely a personal act of faith, but also an act of integral formation that touches the lives of individuals, families, and entire societies. The history of humanity demonstrates that wherever the Word of God has been known, understood, and lived, values, justice, and hope have been strengthened. Yet it is also true that the complexity of its 66 books and more than a thousand chapters can prove challenging for many, who end up losing sight of the coherence and central message of the Scriptures.
For this reason, this work was born with a clear intention: to help people understand the Bible in an orderly, profound, and accessible way. The effort of analysis and synthesis carried out here has sought to extract the heart of each book and chapter, so that the reader may find a clear map amidst the vastness of biblical revelation. Each day, following this plan through 365 journeys, what is offered is not merely a reading guide, but also an interpretive key that facilitates understanding and opens the path to personal, family, and community edification.
As a scholar would note of a historical process, the Bible is presented here not as isolated fragments, but as a coherent narrative that gives meaning to human existence. That structured and pedagogical vision is what this work offers: a guide that by no means replaces the living experience of the text, but simply orients readers toward an orderly and edifying reading.
It has been a true honor for me to write this work. My wish is that this effort become a tool of edification: that it transform hearts, strengthen families, and renew entire societies, because where the Word dwells, life flourishes.
