El libro Inglés I (A1), “To Be, or Not to Be, That Is the Question”, correspondiente al primer semestre de Educación Media Superior dentro del Marco Curricular Común (Modelo Educativo 2025), introduce al estudiantado en el uso básico del idioma inglés desde un enfoque comunicativo y social. Alineado al nivel A1 del Marco Común Europeo de Referencia (MCER), el curso tiene como meta que las y los estudiantes comprendan y utilicen palabras y expresiones sencillas para presentarse, interactuar en el aula y describir su entorno inmediato.
Organizado en ocho propósitos formativos, el libro integra de manera gradual contenidos gramaticales y léxicos fundamentales —como el verbo to be, pronombres, adjetivos, preguntas básicas, demostrativos y expresiones de uso cotidiano— en situaciones comunicativas reales y contextualizadas. Asimismo, promueve el desarrollo equilibrado de las cuatro habilidades lingüísticas: escuchar, hablar, leer y escribir, priorizando la intención comunicativa y la confianza en el uso del idioma.
Más que centrarse en la memorización de reglas, Inglés I busca que el estudiantado utilice el inglés como herramienta para interactuar, expresar información personal básica y comenzar a participar activamente en contextos escolares y comunitarios, sentando así las bases para niveles posteriores de aprendizaje.

English 1. To be, or not to be, that is the question is a first-semester course within the Common Curricular Framework for Upper Secondary Education (2025 Educational Model). Aligned with the A1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), the book introduces students to the basic use of English as a tool for real-life communication.
Through a socially situated and communicative approach, the course enables students to understand and use simple words, phrases, and expressions to introduce themselves, interact in the classroom, and describe their immediate environment. It integrates essential grammar and vocabulary—such as the verb to be, pronouns, basic questions, adjectives, and everyday expressions—into meaningful and contextualized activities.
The book promotes the integrated development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, prioritizing communicative intention and students’ confidence.
