This volume gather four stories inspired by the lives of women who became defenders of the fundamental rights of some social groups: Asadeh Mirbali is an official of the Electoral Council of Iran; Jane Obinchu is the headmistress of a small rural school in Kenya; Nélida Ayay Chilón is a lawyer living in the Andean region of northern Peru, and Bekki Perriman, a London-based British photographer and visual artist.
