The story of Serena, Mother of Pearls transports us to the unforgettably beautiful natural wonder of Las Cruces, a place situated on the glorious Sea of Cortés on the Southern Baja California Mexican peninsula. Although our heroine, Serena, an adorable young oyster, is a mythical being, her surroundings and her loving friends, as well as the prevailing peace of her home, Las Cruces, are all very real.
