In these memories, Fr. Joseph Nguyen recounts his childhood during the Vietnam War, his adolescence as a refugee in Southeast Asia and later in the United States, his ecclesiastical training as the first Legionary of Christ of Vietnamese origin, and his more than two decades priesthood in the ejido of Bonfil in Cancun, Mexico. Transcripts of a series of conversations during the last months of his life, this book recounts the experiences of a man who witnesses dark episodes in the history of mankind, as well as the extraordinary resilience of a life of faith and devotion.
