Considering the constant transformation and destruction of cultural heritage buildings in our cities and the effort to preserve what has survived, Pablo Vázquez Piombo, proposes a methodology that helps the professional integrate contemporary architecture in cultural heritage contexts. To achieve this integration, the author recommends conducting an analysis based on the history and observation of the site, the formal inquiry, and the new needs and contemporary manifestations through a reflective and interpretive, spatial, and temporal circle of reality. Also aimed at students and specialists in the field, the work advocates a true mental exercise and analysis for the architect and strives for social awareness regarding the importance of conserving sites with heritage value.
